Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

You arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport. Glacier Nepal treks representative welcomes you at the airport and takes you to the hotel by privet vehicle. After a short rest, You will meet the guide at our office. you may have some questions about trekking he will give you an answer to the question. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 : Stay in Kathmandu for the official procedure

Exploring Kathmandu Sightseeing Points – Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa & Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), and Kathmandu Durbar Square. evening some paperwork and your trekking guide will check your gear and outfit.

Day 3 : Fly to Lukla and trek to Chhutang (3,020m/9,980ft) : 4-5 hours

We take flight to Lukla early in the norning, You will meet our staff (porter) at Lukla airport. you have breakfast at Lukla, Now we are ready to start our trek climb gently east to lukla then will move forward by seeing the Buddhist Mani walls and Prayer wheels. We will through the Rhododendron forest and Pine trees. overnight at Chhutang.

Day 4 : Chhutang to Thuli kharka (4,100m/13,450ft) : 5-6 hours

After having breakfast at the tea house, today our trail is gradually up and steep climb up to the Zatrawala pass 4,610m/15,124ft. From the top of the pass, we can see views of Karyolang peak, Kondi Ri, Number Himal, and other more high mountains. After a short time spend at the top, we will descend to Thuli Kharka. Overnight at Thuli Kharka.

Day 5 : Thuli kharka to Kothe (4,180m/13,714ft): 5-6 hours

After having breakfast at the tea house. Our trail is a descent all the to the Hinku river after that we reach the River bed. We will steep climb through the rhododendron forest and reach Kothe. In spring seasoon rhododendron flowers make red all the hills. Overnight stay at Kothe.

Day 6 : Kothe to Thangnak (4,325m/14,190ft) 4-5 hours

After having breakfast at the tea house, today we follow the trail ridge of Hinku River up to the Gondishung. After that continue our journey then we will through the Langsumgba Gompa this monastery is more than 200 years old. From here the easy trail to reach the settlement of Thangnak. Overnight stay at Thangnak.

Day 7 : Thangnak to Khare (5,030m/16,502ft): 5-6 hours

After having breakfast at the tea house, today our trail moves to Khare from the Thangnak. This is a difficult day for us to the steep climb and we have to walk through the glacier and dig Kharka on the way we can see the view of Charpate Himal. we have to be careful when walking because the glacier way is the most difficult and dangerous. After that, we will steep climb and reach Khare. when reaching Khare you can see views of many  Mera peaks as possible. Khare acclimatization spends another day at Khare. Overnight stay at Khare.

Day 8 : Acclimatization Day at Khare.

After having breakfast at the tea house, today is our acclimatization day. Your Climbing guide gives you training for climbing and basic knowledge about fixing rope and knots. you can go nearby to Khare for easy hiking and climbing. Overnight stay at Khare.

Day 9 : Khare to Mera base camp (5340m/17,520ft) :3-4 hours

After having breakfast at the tea house, we leave early in the morning from Khare to reach Mera base camp 5300m/17,388ft. Today is not an easy day for us compared to the other days because we need to walk down the steep way and Mera glacier. The glacier trail is more difficult than the normal way. When we reach the top of the glacier to reach a Mera peak base camp. Our sherpa team set up the tents and food equipment. Today is your first-day camping on the Mera peak base camp and need to check your gears. You will take a rest for a while and our staff makes delicious food at dinner time. Spend the night in the camp. Tomorrow is another difficult day Mera peak expedition. Overnight stay at Mera base camp.

Day 10 : Mera base camp to high camp (5,706m/18,720ft): 3-4 hours

After having breakfast at the Mera base camp, today first we need to ascend to the Mera high camp. The trail from Mera base camp joins the Mera La pass 5,415m/17,765ft through the steep climb, snow covers ice, and rocky track. Continue our journey steep climb for several hours to reach the Mera high camp. From Mera high camp we can see views of Baruntse, Nuptse, and Mt.Everest. You take a rest and enjoy with views. Our sherpa set up the tents and food equipment. Our staff makes delicious food at dinner time. Overnight at Mera high camp

Day 11 : High camp to summit (6,476m/21,247ft) back to Khare.

Too early breakfast at the Mera peak high camp. This is your most important day of the entire Mera peak climbing because you will scale the summit Mera peak 6,476m/21,247ft. You have to start early in the morning around 2 am and reach the summit before the afternoon. After 12 pm strong winds at the Mera peak summit so it can be difficult in the afternoon.

You will follow in the footsteps of your climbing guide. Mera peak climbing is a small technical climb so follow the guidance of our climbing guide. When reaching the top of Mera peak enjoys views of Mt.Makalu, Mt, Cho Oyo, Mt. Everest, and several over eight thousand other peaks. After success in the summit, Mera peak spends for a while on the top then descends to high camp quick lunch at high camp, and back to Khare. Overnight stay at Khare

Day 12 : Reserve day in case bad weather.

One day extra day if in case bad weather before climbing the Mera peak you can wait at high camp for next day climbing in the Everest region weatther changes very often

Day 13 : Khare 5,030m/16,502ft to Kothe 4,325m/14,190ft 4,100m; 5-6 hours.

After having breakfast at the tea house, today your journey to Kothe from Khare. You will pass through the Thangnak before reaching Kothe.Thangnak is the place where you spend the night already when you went up. You don't need to stay at this time. From Thangnak to Kothe is easily reached within 3 to 4 hours. The trail mostly descends and trails are easier to walk to the Kothe. You will walk through the rhododendron, blue pine, and oak forest. Overnight at Kothe.

Day 14 : Kothe 4,325m/14,190ft to Thuli kharka 4,100m/ 13,450ft: 4-5 hours

After having breakfast at the tea house, today you need to walk steep up and downhill. You will be walking through the forest and Hinku valley. Thuli Kharka is near Hinku valley it takes about 5-6 hours to reach Thuuli Khara from Kothe. Overnight stay at Thuli kharka.

Day 15 : Thuli Kharka 4,100m/13,450ft to Lukla (2,860m/9,383ft) : 5-6 hours

After having breakfast at the tea house, today is your last day of Mera peak climbing. We leave early in the morning from Thuli Kharka it takes 5-6 hours before reaching Lukla you need to pass Zatrawala pass once again. From the top of the pass, you can see views of many Everest region peaks. after that, you have to downhill to reach Lukla. Take a hot shower and relax, and enjoy your last dinner at the mountain. Tomorrow flies back to Kathmandu.

Day 16 : Fly back to kathmandu

After having breakfast, fly back to Kathmandu. Take you to the hotel. After a taking shower, you can visit Thamel for shopping.  In the evening we have a farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural dance. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 17 : Final Departure

This is your final day in Nepal. Glacier Nepal treks representative will drop you at Tribhuwan international airport by privet vehicle. Home sweet home.
