Overview

Ghorepani Poonhill trek offers the best views of mount Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre. This trekking trail once used by horse caravans traveling between Pokhara and Mustang passes through beautiful Rhododendron forests and Gurung settlements. As you trek along Tadapani and Ghandruk while enjoying stunning mountains and landscape your guide will brief you with interesting details about the region. Throughout the trek, you will stay in a Tea house offering warm Nepalese hospitality.
Enjoy a complimentary airport pickup and transfer to our hotel near Thamel. In the evening take a meandering walk around the heritage sites of Kathmandu and join a welcome dinner with a trek briefing. The next day you will join a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley. Visit the symbolic heritage sites of Kathmandu and observe people and life in action. On the third day, you will take a drive to Nayapul via Pokhara and start the trek alongside the Modi river. You will trek through the beautiful Gurung villages of Tikhedhunga, Ulleri, Ghorepani, Tadapani, and Ghandruk. During the trek, you can experience breathtaking views of Mount Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu, and other numerous ice-capped peaks. Annapurna conservation area is home to the Snow leopard, Musk deer, and pheasants, and records the presence of 97 mammal species, 476 birds, 56 hereto, and two fish species. Fifty-five species of endemic flowering plants and 456 vascular plants have been recorded in the area.
After discovering the beautiful Annapurna conservation area, you will take a drive back to Kathmandu from Nayapul and do amazing activities until your departure.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport. Glacier Nepal trek representatives welcome you at the airport and take you to the hotel by private vehicle. After a short rest, You will meet the guide at our office. you may have some questions about trekking he will give you to answer the question. Overnight at the hotel

Day 2 : Kathmandu to pokhara by tourist bus 6-7 hrs.

Kathmandu to Pokhara Drive, After having breakfast in the morning we drive to Pokhara by tourist bus. It takes around 6- 7 hours to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu. You can also take the flight which takes about 30 minutes and in the remaining time, take your time to explore Pokhara city and Lakeside. We stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 3 : Pokhara to Thikhedunga (1,577m/5,174ft): 5 hrs

Pokhara to Nayapul Drive 1.30 hrs and trek to Tikhedhunga (1577m) – 3 Hours we are going to begin our actual trek from Nayapul. we take a short drive to Nayapul from Pokhara which takes about an hour. From Nayapul, we take a short walk along the banks of Modi Khola, which brings us to Birethanti (1015m). From there, our trail continues through the village and climbs continuously up the side to the Hille (1495m). We eventually reach Tikhedhunga (1577m) where we stay overnight at a guesthouse

Day 4 : Thikhedunga to Ghorepani (2,850m/9,350ft): 6 hrs

Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani Trek (2850m) – 6 Hours From Tikhedhunga, we move on towards the steep climb to Ulleri (2010m). Ulleri is a large Magar village. Our trail ascends more gently from this point through fine forests of oak and rhododendrons towards Banthanti (2250m). After walking for a couple of hours, we arrive at Ghorepani (2840m) where we stay overnight.


Day 5 : Ghorepani to Tadapani (2,650m/8,695ft): 6 hrs

Early morning  Hike up to Poon Hill (3210m) and trek to Tadapani (2610m) – 5 Hours Early in the morning today, we start an hour hiking to Poon Hill (3210m) which is the best viewpoint in the Annapurna Region. Poon Hill offers the best opportunity to witness the phenomenal panorama of the beautiful peaks including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Poon Hill is regarded as the Photographer’s paradise. You can enjoy the unobstructed views of the sunrise over stunning snowcapped Himalayas. Poon Hill also offers the best views of sunset too. After spending about an hour at Poon Hill, we return back to Ghorepani. We take our breakfast at Ghorepani and after that, we continue climbing along the ridges through the forest of pines and rhododendron. The climb brings us to Deurali (3200m) and descending further takes us to Tadapani eventually. We stay overnight at a guesthouse in Tadapani (2650m)

Day 6 : Tadapani to Ghandruk (2,010m/6,595ft) : 4 hrs

After the breakfast trek to Ghandruk, through the jungle. you arrive at Ghandruk for the lunch, Ghandruk is the biggest Gurung village in this region. After lunch, you can visit the Gurung museum and walk around the village. from your hotel room, you will see an amazing view of Mt. Annapurna south and Himchuli. dinner at the teahouse, overnight at the teahouse.

Day 7 : Ghandruk to Pokhara (830m/2,720ft): 6 hrs

Trek to Nayapool around 4 hours, lunch at Birethanti. after a short walk, we drive to Pokhara. you have plenty of time to explore Pokhara. Devi's falls, world peace pagoda, mountain museum, Tibetan refugee camp, etc. overnight at hotel 

Day 8 : Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus 6-7 hrs.

From Pokhara to Kathmandu Drive we have to leave our hotel at 7 am after breakfast and the bus leaves at 7:30 am from the Tourist Bus Park. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you can utilize your time for last-minute shopping or you can explore the city. We celebrate the Farewell Dinner together with us and spend overnight at the hotel. 

Day 9 : Final Departure

This is your final day in Nepal. Glacier Nepal treks representative will drop you at Tribhuwan international airport by privet vehicle. Home sweet home.
